  • New office was set up in Sanghataedo in Haeui-myeon in accordance with Ordinance No. 189 of Shinan-gun (6 offices).

  • New offices were set up in Seondo in Jido-myeon, Tae do in Heuksan-myeon and Jara do in Anjwa-myeon in accordance with Ordinance No. 413 of Shinan-gun.
  • New Office of Hongdo, Shinan-gun was set up in Hongdo ri, Heuksan-myeon in accordance with Ordinance No. 435 of Shinan-gun.

  • Jido-myeon was promoted to Jido eup in accordance with Presidential Decree No. 10050.

  • In accordance with Presidential Decree No 11027 (announced on Jan. 10, 1983), administrative districts were reorganized the local office of Sanghataedo was changed from in Haeui-myeon to in Shineui-myeon, and the local office of Palkeupdo in Anjwa-myeon was promoted to Palkeum-myeon. In accordance with the same decree, Manjedo ri was reorganized from Jodo-myeon, Jindo gun to Heuksan-myeon and some parts (Gosado, Pyeongsado and Songdo) of Gas do ri was reorganized from Jodo-myeon to Shineui-myeon.

  • In accordance with Presidential Decree No. 13046, Sojeodo, Jak do, Songdo, Goldo and Heuieodo in Jangsang myeun were reassigned to Jindo gun.

  • The name of public development business office of Shinan-gun was changed to tourism development business office of Shinan-gun in accordance with Ordinance No. 1223 of Shinan-gun.
  • In accordance with Ordinance No. 1283 of Shinan-gun, the ordinance about the establishment of resources development business office of Shinan-gun was abolished and integrated with the ordinance about establishment of administrative structure of Shinan-gun (main office of Shinan-gun).

History of the 2000s

• In accordance with Ordinance No. 1350 of Shinan-gun, sanitation business office of Shinan-gun was open (Aphae-eup, Shinan-gun).
• In accordance with Ordinance No. 1397 of Shinan-gun, sanitation business office of Shinan-gun was closed and marine environment business office of Shinan-gun was open.

  • In accordance with Ordinance No. 1487 of Shinan-gun, marine environment business office of Shinan-gun was closed and facility management business office of Shinan-gun was open.
